Ken has worked in the engineering and environmental fields for over 30 years. He came to Jabiru, NT in 1992 to work with the Australian Government managing research projects in catchment hydrology, erosion, and landform evolution modelling to assess the environmental impacts of uranium mining in the Alligator Rivers Region and western Arnhem Land. In 2012, Ken moved to Charles Darwin University where he was a Professor in Civil Engineering and leader of the Mining Technology Group. During this time, he was also involved in volunteer work and research in eastern Indonesia and Peru.
